Dear Yuletide Writer,
Thank you so much for offering to write me a story and for taking the time to come over here, to my – yes, yes, otherwise 100% empty – journal and reading this.
First of all, I’m just excited to read a story in any of these fandoms. Really, nearly anywhere the muses take you, I’ll be happy to follow!
Second of all, and this is the “nearly” from the previous sentence: it’s been a hard year for me and I’d prefer to not dive too deep into darkness at Yuletide. This is not to say that I only want pure fluffy happiness, not at all. But if the story could have – just a glimmer of hope, and an ending that is happy-adjacent at least…? That would be nice. There’s a scarcity of optimism here, and if the story could remedy this, even if just a tiny little bit, that would be great.
Thirdly, I’m happy to read any rating and any type pairing (or gen). I lean towards the higher ratings in my usual reading, and maybe a bit more towards m/m than other types of pairings, but it is not a strong preference.
Ted Lasso (Ted Lasso)
Ted is such an interesting character to explore. I’d love to see more of him!
Lovesick (Luke)
I feel like Luke didn’t get enough of a story, so if you want to add anything… :-)
Northern Exposure
I jumped up with joy when I saw Northern Exposure in the tagset. I’d love to hang out in Cicely a bit more. I haven’t thought about this show in ages but loved it so, so much in the past – just the general vibe of it, the cast of characters, the thin edge of unreality to it all.
Rivers of London
I enjoy the books, and enjoy the fanfics possibly even more, for their ability to go in-depth where the books are limited by length. I like character-driven fics, and the ones that give Peter Grant, Thomas Nightingale and the other central characters more time and opportunity to develop relationships, of any and every sort.
